Beach Baby

Beach Baby on the Freycinet Peninsula

We spent two days at "Beach Baby" on the Freycinet (fray-si-nay) Peninsula along the east coast of Tasmania. It was so much fun being in a house for a few days. We made a big grocery store trip so that we could cook all of our meals in - it was even fun unpacking the grocery bags. Who knew that would ever be a treat?! We had a Mexican fiesta for dinner our second night complete with salsa, tortillas, refried beans, cheese, chicken, beef, and green peppers, with some birthday cake to top it off! I couldn't believe they had all of my favorite Mexican foods at a Tasmanian grocery store - score!

The beach was right in our backyard, and there were some great walks just down the road in Freycinet National Park. We walked to the Wineglass Bay lookout, where we looked down on a beautiful beach. Then we made our way to a few other beaches in the area and settled on spending the afternoon at the beach just outside our house.

Such a fun and relaxing couple of days- Freycinet Peninsula is spectacular!
