| Galkadawala |
I realize that we haven't mentioned many of the places we have stayed in our posts, mostly because they aren't nearly as special or interesting as the things we are seeing and doing. But just outside Habarana, Sri Lanka, we stayed in the coolest place to date: a treehouse "eco lodge" named Galkadawala. We spent the entire afternoon and following morning exploring the surrounding jungle, walking around the tank (local reservoir), meeting locals, and eating fabulous Sri Lankan food. Everything about Galkadawla was amazing, and I think it was the most relaxing night we have had, falling asleep to the sounds of the jungle and waking up with the sun.

A tree house!!! I bet you did sleep like children, since that's just about every child's dream house! Want to see the interior (go figure! :) )
