A Living Fort

The fort in Jaisalmer is a living fort.  Other than a small palace museum, people still live in every nook and cranny.  An ancient fort serving modern needs - restaurants, shops, homes, hotels - pretty cool!  After seeing so many beautiful forts that aren't enjoyed except by visitors on daily tours, it was a treat to see a fort that is lived in every day. Unfortunately, because it is the home to so many people, it is also deteriorating fairly quickly. I hope they can find a way to live in it and also preserve it.   Jaisalmer Fort - not a bad address to have!
