Outside at Mandira Dickoya |
Sri Lanka is, without a doubt, most famous for its tea. So a stay at a tea plantation seemed like a must. Between tea five times a day (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and the 10:30 and 3:30 tea times) we managed to squeeze in walking around the plantation, talking with the tea pickers and visiting the tea processing unit for our plantation. Pretty amazing to see the entire tea process - a lot of hard working men and women. Fantastic tea, amazing Sri Lankan food, and the house practically to ourselves - we really didn't want to leave!
