Kadikoy

The port at Kadikoy

We had fun brainstorming all of the different things that we could do in Istanbul for our last day.  We settled on a ferry ride across the Bosphorus to Kadikoy, an upscale port town on the Asian side of Istanbul.  There were hardly any tourists in sight, which was quite a change from Sultanahmet.

With no agenda we wandered around.  We happened upon a fabulous lunch spot -- cheap and delicious, the kind of place that might quickly become our favorite lunch spot in the city if we lived here.  We spent the afternoon wandering, enjoying our last Turkish ice creams, and doing lots of people watching.

A very nice last day in Turkey!
