Sand dunes in Swakopmund |
Swakopmund is the adrenaline capital of Namibia. We spent a full day in the endless sand dunes along the Namibian coast.
The day started out with stand-up sandboarding -- think snowboarding minus the snow. The dunes were really intense and there was even a jump built into the side of one slope.
Thank goodness sand is snow's softer cousin!

After the stand-up boarding, it was time for some lie-down sandboarding -- no skill required and we got quite a bit of speed!

The afternoon packed just as much adrenaline as the morning! We headed out into the dunes on ATVs for some high-speed fun in the sand, only slowing down long enough to snap a photo or two.

Needless to say we were covered in sand head to toe by the end of the day. We're still trying to get rid of it all!
that looks AWESOME! Can't wait to hear about it!
ReplyDeleteIt was so much fun! Wish we had a place like this at home :)
