|Sand dunes in Swakopmund|
Swakopmund is the adrenaline capital of Namibia. We spent a full day in the endless sand dunes along the Namibian coast.
The day started out with stand-up sandboarding -- think snowboarding minus the snow. The dunes were really intense and there was even a jump built into the side of one slope. Thank goodness sand is snow's softer cousin!

After the stand-up boarding, it was time for some lie-down sandboarding -- no skill required and we got quite a bit of speed!
Sara: 41 mph
David: 44 mph

The afternoon packed just as much adrenaline as the morning! We headed out into the dunes on ATVs for some high-speed fun in the sand, only slowing down long enough to snap a photo or two.

Needless to say we were covered in sand head to toe by the end of the day. We're still trying to get rid of it all!
