The city wall around Lucca used to defend the city against its neighbors. Today it is a picturesque pedestrian and bike path.
The round trip around the city is about three miles. When it took us about 30 minutes for our first lap, we realized we were riding pretty slowly and stopping for lots of pictures. We picked it up the second time around!

Wonderful memories of doing the same thing - I miss the gelato more than the biking though!
