We're Off!

The Air Pacific counter at LAX - we checked in just in time!

After a fun-filled day in L.A. with Sara's uncle Mark, we are off to New Zealand via Fiji.

Good thing we arrived to the airport three hours early!  Although our e-tickets said that the flight would depart at 10:30 pm, when we arrived at the ticket counter we found out that it actually would depart at 9:30 pm.  What?!  When we asked why the actual departure was an hour earlier than our tickets, the agent said matter-of-factly, "that is just because of daylight savings time."  What?!

Travel Tip #1: Don't fly airlines that fail to account for daylight savings time in advance (after all, it does happen every year!)  But if you must, be sure to arrive very early.
